The LEGO Show will be taking a rest for 2013

Warren Elsmore - Friday, January 11, 2013

We've had lots of questions recently about The LEGO Show in 2013 - it's great to know so many people are eager for it to return. However, the team here at The LEGO Show have decided that we'll be taking a rest and that there will not be a LEGO Show in Manchester this year. It was a tough decision to make, but we want to make sure that we put on the best possible event for you and this will give us even more time to prepare for bigger and better things in the future!

Don't worry though, we still have lots of things up our sleeves for this year! Show director, Warren Elsmore, will be launching his first book in May and we're working hard on bringing those models directly to you. So, don't go away - we'll be back, bigger and better, soon....!

To make sure you get all the updates as soon as we announce them - make sure to sign up to our mailing list!

Our biggest display yet! The Stadium!

Warren Elsmore - Monday, April 23, 2012
You might remember our model of Westminster Abbey from last year? Well, this year we've got an even larger model! This stadium seats upto 10,000 LEGO minifigures and weighs in at over 100Kg!
More over, you can be a part of this build! We need to populate the stadium with an audience and you can help out whilst raising money for charity! We've teamed up with Key 103's Cash for Kids campaign. The LEGO Show is asking you to donate a minifig to help fill our stadium! For each minifig that you donate to the stadium, we'll in turn donate to help underprivileged children.
There's more details on the stadiums' very own page.

Lord of the Rings comes to The LEGO Show!

Warren Elsmore - Thursday, April 19, 2012

The LEGO Show is pleased to announce a world exclusive. The new LEGO Lord of the Rings will have their public premier at this years' LEGO Show.

Initially shown at this years' Toy Fair in London, The LEGO Show are proud to announce the first public showing of the entire 2012 range of LEGO Lord of The Rings sets. All 7 sets from the new range will be on display, which will not be available to buy in the shops until later this year.

These new sets have been eagerly awaited by LEGO fans, not just because of the iconic nature of the sets. A number of new pieces are being made available in these sets for the first time, including a new horse and of course, LEGO mini figures representing all the key characters from the book and movies.

The LEGO Show is the largest LEGO event in the UK. Throughout the show visitors will be able take part in a series of special building workshops, or try the massive play area to build their own creations, and have the chance to meet real LEGO® Designers & see what they like to build when they're not at work! The LEGO® Show is the only show in the country to feature LEGO® designers direct from Denmark and LEGO® certified professionals.

There is also a LEGO® cinema, a LEGO® museum and amazing creations built by Adult Fans of LEGO® from all over Europe! So there is a lot to see and do. Visitors to the show will also get the chance to be part of a World Record as the show attempts to break the record for the largest ever built LEGO® mosaic.

The LEGO Show is open to the public on the 5th, 6th and 7th May. Tickets cost just £29 for a family of four when booked online, saving you 20% and any queues! For more details, go to www.thelegoshow.com

Scarlet Fury 01
Proving that although big is beautiful, so is small - Jon Hall present 'Scarlet Fury' with a whole back story to boot!

Scarlett McCloud, daughter of the famed flying ace Aaron McCloud in her fighter, the Scarlet Fury. A formidable pilot at age 19, she took to the skies after the death of her father, to find the man who shot him down and exact her revenge. An experienced engineer, after years of helping repair and rebuild her father’s plane, she built the appropriately named Scarlet Fury based on the design of her father’s famous fighter, the Red Zephyr. After she eventually succeeded in her mission she briefly became a hired gun, or “freelancer” flying escort for various airships and skyliners before retiring to become a successful aircraft engineer. The Fury is fitted with two 1450 horsepower McGarrow D-5 Radial Engines and four fixed forward-facing “Brimstone” B2 machine guns.
